five(9)s Console 5.0 Release
🚀 five(9)s Console 5.0 – New tools for more overview and control
With the new version 5.0 of the five(9)s Console, we are once again delivering a substantial package of improvements – this time with a clear focus on transparency, control, user-friendliness and security in endpoint management.
Here is an overview of the most important new functions:
🛠️ Device Recovery
Devices that have been deleted in Ivanti EPM, but report back after an inventory scan, now automatically receive their data such as advanced patch, activity history, custom inventory settings and the assigned software with the new device recovery function.
Benefit: Devices that re-register themselves in the EPM can be used as if they had never been removed.
👀 Endpoint Insight
The new Endpoint Insight provides you with detailed insights into the respective computer – without the need for an Ivanti or five(9)s Console. You can see at a glance:
- Installed Software
- Agent Settings
- Patch Information
Particularly practical: The information can be called up directly from the console – ideal for quick analyses or support queries.
🛡️ Advanced Patch – Vulnerability Insights
With Vulnerability Insights, you can see at a glance the status of a patch rollout and where manual intervention is required.
In concrete terms, this means you can immediately see where there is a need for action – and can eliminate specific problems.
📊 Advanced Patch – New Dashboard
The dashboard for Advanced Patch has been completely revised:
- Visualization of all to-dos you have
- Clearer key figures for processes and patches
- More focus on critical areas
Goal: You should be able to recognise at a glance where you have a task – to strengthen security.
📤 Advanced Patch – KPI-Export
You can now export important patch KPIs – e.g. for reports, internal reviews or audits.
The export is fast, clear and can be used directly in CSV format. This means you not only get the top 5 from the dashboard, but all devices with lots of important additional information.
The data can also be retrieved directly from third-party systems via API.
🎨 Custom Buttons – new colours & icons
A small but nice detail: the Custom Buttons in the console can now be better individualised – with new colours and icons. This allows you to emphasise functions more visually and make operation even more intuitive, even across language barriers.
🔭 Roadmap
Of course, we are already working on the next version (5.1):
General Console improvements
- Users now have the option to define their own email address for console notifications.
This is particularly helpful if, for example, you are working with an administrator account that does not have a saved email address. - Custom Button (type: PowerShell) with input and validation
- Separate email settings for notifications and approvals: Specialist teams can be informed specifically about relevant processes without receiving approval emails at the same time.
- Centralised blacklist, whitelist and fasttrack rules: These rules can now be managed centrally and transferred to the local patch team using a practical clone function – to protect against changes.
- Extension of the blacklist, whitelist and fast track filters with Ivanti patch tags: This allows patches to be blocked centrally or controlled via specific tags for release processes.
- ‘User to notify’ now also supports direct e-mail addresses in addition to AD users
- Device search using software inventory
- Package-based notifications for software installations: When installing special packages, targeted notifications can now be sent to specialist teams so that necessary authorisations or configuration adjustments can be made at an early stage.
👉 And the best for last:
We have tweaked the performance to make our product even faster and better.
